The City owns and maintains the network of sanitary sewer mains within the boundaries of Falcon Heights. This involves jetting of the sewer lines in segments of the city each year to remove buildup and prevent backups from occurring. The City also works in partnership with the City of Roseville on the Sanitary Sewer Lining Project, an ongoing effort to extend the life of the pipes.

Emergency Back-up

If you experience a sewer back-up, you should contact City Hall immediately. Staff will determine if the back-up is resulting from a problem in the sewer main, or whether the back-up is being caused by a problem in your service line.

Generally, if your sewer backs up only after you have run water, the problem is likely in your service line and you will need to contact a plumber. If your sewer backup is a continual problem, the issue may be caused by the City's sewer system.
