The City was awarded $20,000 by the St. Paul and Minnesota Foundation for our inclusion efforts. One use of these funds was the commissioning of a mural in the Falcon Heights Elementary School cafeteria. Muralist Melodee Strong created the mural. She started in early 2019. A Community Family Night was held on February 28, 2019, where students and families were invited to help paint the mural. A ribbon cutting was held on May 23, 2019. The mural showcases the variety of students in Falcon Heights and the overarching theme of Cultivating a Caring Community.
